So back on 10.29.2008, Tavis Johnson and I put on a private workshop in SLC for about 10 other photographers. We demonstrated different methods for night shooting including but not limited to, using video lights, off camera speedlites, dragging the shutter, and painting with light. It was insanely fun and I wish I had more photos to share, but I was too busy giving direction and teaching, so this was all I was able to capture. Thanks little buddy Tavis for helping me put this on, it was a huge success.
My new senior ambassador from Layton High School... Jackie and her best buddy Alex, thanks for volunteering to help model.
Tavis' famous Nacho Libre pose, if Tavis wasn't busy teaching, I would've just made him model.
While we were shooting a couple minutes before this shot, a car containing the super heroes seen here drove by and called out "Hulk Smash" lol. Moments later, curiosity got the best of them and they came by to see what all the photographers were shooting and posed in the background for a couple shots. Too funny.

Rats, I can't believe I missed the info for this! I would have loved to have come! How much was it and when are you doing another?
Why, that's very generous of you, Mr. D!
oh! I would have loved to come!!
WOW, I've heard (read) you refer to Tavis before, and the way I pictured him mentally and now reality are nothing alike. But I like the reality version a whole lot better! Your a hottie Tavis, and I LOVE the hair! You guys did an awesome job, and the workshop looks like fun! Maybe one day I'll be able to attend :~)
Super rad photos, love em' all! The pic of me and my Dad on the header TOTALLY made my day, I sent the link onto him and I'm sure it'll make his too, so fun:)!
Great lighting on these, love the addition of the superheros. You never know what you will get when you shoot outside ;-)
I would love to attend one of your workshops. Do you have a mailing list or some way to let me know when you might be doing another one?
